Wonderfully gripping and moving book. Whilst this is not (and doesn’t claim to be) an accurate historical narrative, this book is a great layman’s introduction to the topic of pre-islamic Kashmiri history. In addition to providing a glimpse into the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of ancient Kashmir, this book also presents a narrative of some of the forces that have shaped Indian politics in the past and today.
This is a must read for all Indians and people interested in our rich history.
